Kings Mountain at Barter Theatre September 17, 2026 - October 31, 2026

Commissioned as part of Virginia's VA250 commemoration, Kings Mountain explores the events leading up to one of the most significant battles of the American Revolution. Through a theatrical tour-de-force performed by Barter's company, audiences experience the perspectives of Overmountain Men, their families, British soldiers, political leaders, and enslaved Americans whose lives were shaped by the conflict. The production examines themes of freedom, loyalty, sacrifice, and identity while bringing to life the people and events that helped change the course of American history.
